Monthly Meeting…

Gents and Ladies after a few discussions with other club members it has been suggested that once a month (possibly the last Wednesday of every month) we have a ‘club meeting’ at Nonnas where people can come along, have a drink and discuss events they have coming up, rides they want to organise or anything else cycle related, I think this weekend highlighted that everyone has lots of things happening (there was the club ride,The Audax and The Peak punisher where LS members all made an appearance) plus as the summer approaches there are things that members are actively involved with that I’m sure others would love to participate in (Time trials, BC races etc..) so the meetings will be used as a forum to mention anything and everything which you feel may be of interest to fellow members..

The meetings will be informal and no agenda will be set, if nothing else its an excuse to get our for a midweek drink or two…hopefully as it evolves we can structure the meetings to suit. Who knows,if the weather picks up we may even venture out on the bikes for an hour pre meeting…

Everyone is welcome so please take time to come along, it would be nice to see some new faces, the Tuesday and Saturday rides are seeing more and more members turn out every week, we know it can be daunting turning up to a ride when you don’t know people so hopefully the meetings will be a good place for new members to meet other members and for us older members to encourage anyone interested in coming out with us that we are a friendly, social club, where, as our motto goes…It isn’t always about the bike..

The first meeting will take place at 7.30 Wednesday the 29th of May..ladies_gossiping

Raid Pyrenees 2013

20 May

Who’s up for a challenge?

La Squadra member Steve Rick and a group of friends, after completing the Tour Des Grandes Alpes last year, are this year tackling the Raid Pyrenees. It covers 720 km over some of the most iconic cols including Col d’Aubisque, Col du Tormalet and Col d’Aspin, and there’s space on the team for a couple of extra riders.

The team is self-funded but gets its kit sponsored and is fully supported with a van and DS. Riding will start from Biarritz on the Atlantic coast on 1st September and arrive in Argeles on the Med on the 8th, flying back to the UK on 9th.

Budget is circa £800 including flights, meals and support.

Anyone interested call Steve Rick on 07769 330579 or mail him steve@thericks.net.

New Team Kit

1 May

After officially launching our new team kit during the recent Call to Arms event we’re delighted to put it out on general sale. As a progression from the previous kit it features a variation in colours and carries the logo’s of our current sponsors. We’re super happy with it, and hope you are too.

The images below show the short sleeve jersey and bib shorts, both of which are due to arrive from our European factory within the next 2 weeks. Bottles will be with us sooner. Dates for these arrivals will be confirmed as soon as we have guaranteed eta’s.

Our manufacturer makes for some of the professional peloton teams, and we’ve opted for their top-end ‘Pro Range’ which is a step above the previous kit in terms of quality and fabric performance.

We’ll be adding to the range with items such include arms warmers, leg warmers, neoprene over shoes and a gilet. Visuals for these additional items are coming soon!

Prices for the items available to order now are as follows (including our membership & kit ‘bundle’ which is available while stocks last).

Shipping is charged at £10 unless collecting from Nonnas, Ecclesall Road, Sheffield, S11.
