La Squadra sportive part 2!

We have teamed up with the organisers of Blenheim Palace sportive to bring you the 2nd La Squadra sportive.
Dear Squadristi!
We know how much you all enjoyed the Nonna’s sportive on the 20th June especially as so many family members were able to support the riders arriving at the finish and give everyone a great cheer! It was i know a real accomplishment for many of the cycling novices to have done 100km!
Well as the sportive season is slowing coming to end we have found a cracker of a sportive to end the season!! It’s not too far away and the best bit you can bring the whole family to enjoy the day.
The event is the Blenheim Palace Sportive.
La Squadra plan to offer a weekend stay (Saturday night) or for those who just wish to come down early Sunday morning. For overnight we can look for a local hotel or B/B and then have a country style dinner. For all La Squadristi we will have a meeting point set up on the grounds on Sunday. We will use a Planet X easy up tent and look to organise a barbecue after the event.
Can you please respond as to your interest so that we can see who wishes to go for the overnight and so we can start to look for a place based on the number interested and also book all La Squadra group riders who wish to participate (who i have been in touch with) so that our race numbers will be consequential.

Blenheim Palace opens its World Heritage Site Park to cyclists for the third time on Sunday 3rd October 2010. Celebrating cycling in all its forms, Breast Cancer Care’s BIKE BLENHEIM PALACE will include:
- A beautiful Sportive through the Cotswold’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
- A tough 20km Time Trial
- The staging of the amazing 2010 Brompton World Championship (using fold up bikes!)
- Cyclocross in the heart of the event village
- Family rides in a safe and beautiful car free environment
Breast Cancer Care’s BIKE BLENHEIM PALACE Sportive is already one of the countries best.
I’d normally be up for this, but have been roped in to running a marathon on the same day. If i can get out of the run i’ll let you know.
Hi Tim , yes I’m up for it and I’m up for staying over on the Saturday night, i’ll keep checking the website for more info. Let me know costs and can pay you when you need it, sounds like a good day out!
I can also offer a lift in my car, I can take 3 more people and 3 bikes if that’s any help. Although I won’t be able to leave until 5.30 on the Saturday evening
Deffo up for it… will be riding the 60 miles… La Squadra ladies will you do it with me??!
Would normally say yes but I’m getting back from the pyrenees on that day. My brother and myself will be heading back to farnham in surrey on the Sunday (where I’m currently living during the week) so may come up to Blenheim to cheer on and provide some support in eating food.

I’m a possible Tim, Stephanie and kids would want to come – is there family accommodation recommended?
