World Road Race Champs – Tuscany September

I’m currently working on a travel package for the World Cycling Champs which takes place in Montecatini Terme (home town) and Florence between 22 – 29 September … There are 5 events which start in Montecatini.

There are flights from Manchester on Thursday 26th with jet2.com and return from East Midlands to Pisa with Ryan air on Tuesday 1st October ..the prices are very good so far…

It will be a 5 night package….

Based on these dates you get the chance to see;

27/9 Friday – Start from Montecatini Women’s & Mens Junior road race

28/9 Saturday – start from Montecatini Mens Elite under 23

29/9 Sunday – Professional Road race – Lucca – Montecatini Terme to Florence

I have secured for Sunday a fabulous location to watch the Professional road race on the climb of Fiesole for a testing and twisting 16.6km finishing circuit that includes a 4km climb to Fiesole just outside Florence. My location is a small private residence off the main road and is located at the 3km point of the climb with 1km climb to go to the top of Fiseole, this is an ideal circuit for Froome or Wiggo….The race comes past here 10 times!!..here you will lunch and drinks with a number od private viewing locations (Well above the local tifosi) as seen from the pictures below all civilised stuff!

During the trip we will not only see the start of the events but cycle daily including riding the actual route of the race as well as the finishing circuit .

I just wanted to let you to know of my plans because places will be limited and i’m offering the final package first to Nonna’s La Squadra.

I will handle the land arrangements, airport transfers, bike hire if required, accommodation, all evening dinners, organise daily rides, transfer of bikes and people to Florence to watch the event and cycle back after the event with live viewing.
