I won’t be able to look her in the eye now! If you you all want to come that’s fine, just bring a bottle (baby oil) – she loves groups of lycra clad middle aged men more then you can imagine. I’ll phone the chef & we can organise a spit roast! I’m making myself feel a bit unwell typing this!!

Sorry, can’t make it. In Scotland too, although not with Tony…unless he’s going to my mother-in-laws birthday meal! Have a good ride – see you at the next one.

UTO? Up the Otters (pocket)? We did that last week! Not sure I’m ready for an 8am start though – I need a proper coffee first. Have a good ride and enjoy the match. I’ll be at Nonnas for 8.30 if anyone fancies a more leisurely start.

      Fancy something like this: http://bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx?course=386062

(Clockwise with a cake stop at the Lime Lounge in Bakewell. If it’s a bit short we can always tack on a loop to Hathersage and up the Surprise !)

You did fine Phil. It wasn’t exactly flat today and the wind was a bit of a barsteward at times. How did you go on the suffer cave known as Frogatt ?

Id say I struggled all day really, never rally felt ontop of it, I guess I should have got up early and had breakfast rookie mistake, need to lose some lbs and maybe take Dr’s advice and treat my asthma, give it a couple of weeks of shorter faster and come out with you guys again.

As the youngsters say, OMG!! Just driving towards Belfast today & saw a Nonnas Jersey (blue) heading in the opposite direction – thought I was the only one over here. Technically La Squadra is on tour!
Congratulations Gian on your amazing achievement.

I’ve seen one or two of the old designs around and about (in France and London) – the current one I think is a bit more exclusive (and nice IMHO).

Ditto the congratulations to Gian. I don’t know about balls of steel though – I bet they are a bit more tender than that at the moment !

Can’t make it this Saturday, I’ll be in Norn Iron (say it in a Northern Irish accent!). Hoping to get a few miles on a rented Trek 1.5 so should still be able to keep up the following Saturday – no guarantees!

Also, good luck to all of those representing the club in races this weekend.

I was (and still am) completely f***ed! Tempted to push on to A&E at the end! Not sure if I had a bad day, am just a bit rubbish or if you two were on a bit of a sadism kick. Nonetheless, big high 5s, chest bumps and R&B handshakes to Ady Wells – Nonna’s most improved (or drug using!) rider!!

In reply to - Ben Lowe posted an update: Great ride this morning. Thanks Nick. Completely beasted by Hathersage though but I suppose that was kind of the idea :-) · View

I like the way the Panasonic Raleigh rider is giving a camp bitch slap while M. Hinault is giving a man’s man’s right hook. A think a the Badger vs Chuck cage fight would be one to watch !

Unfortunately I had a ’face-meets-road’ incident yesterday so will not be participating now. Can’t believe that slightly damp road took me out after getting through all those rides in sub-zero temperatures.
Just trying to decide whether I should hobble down & watch you lot suffer! Good luck to all of the Squadra riders.
